You know the drill by now (or if not — read the detailed instructions HERE).
Just write up a blog post — or leave a comment — telling us about a book that your kid or kids have enjoyed reading this month and would recommend. Remember, this one is all about them. The book can drive you crazy, but if they would recommend it to others their age, spill it!

I did Sea of Monsters
I’ve been helpin my nephew with reading and writing skills this summer (he’s 11) and I’ve tried to find fun things for him to read to go along with the (to him) tedious spelling, writing, and grammar tasks. Right now, we’re reading the first Rotton School book, The Big Blueberry Barf Off, by R. L. Stine. From the funny situations to the hilariously named characters, we are both enjoying the book very much. It’s my nephew’s favorite part of our lessons together and he’s always lobbying to read just one more chapter!
My son and I visit the library each week for new books – he is 9 years old and our reading time together consists of his reading a page and me reading the next page. Our newest chapter book is The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling – of course, my teen, who has read every single Harry Potter book, grabbed it during the day and read it in one sitting. She enjoyed it and my son is enjoying it as well. (and I am too!)
