I Read It — March

March 2, 2010 by Jennifer

Remember we’ve changed things up a bit. Instead of only linking thoughts and reviews of books that we recommended here at 5 Minutes for Books or in our column at 5 Minutes for Mom, we invite you to share a review that you read at anyone’s recommendation.

You can link up any review from the previous month that shares that information. If you don’t share that information in your reviews, then write a new post for I Read It! and link back to the reviews as you add in the information.

It would be nice if you point your readers to this page so that they can check out the reviews that others link up as well.

For ease in surfing, leave the title of the book in the linky, along with your blog name.

Non-bloggers are welcome to participate in the comment section.

Hmm, I’m not sure my links are posting in Mr. Linky so here they are.

I was one of the five lucky winners of a book for 9-12 age group, and I actually read it–Liberty Porter, First Daughter! I may be two or three months behind, but this is my first time to link up (and to actually read one of the books reviewed), so i hope you will forgive me.
My last job before retirement was as a bilingual specialist, i.e. ESL teacher. I remember Obama’s inauguration day and the comments my little seventh grade Hispanic twins made about the cute first daughters. So when I read about this book (http://books.5minutesformom.com/2163/liberty-porter-first-daughter/) I thought of them. Although they are beyond the targeted age group, their reading level is not. I spent many fun hours helping them understand the English language and cultural aspects of what they were reading.
I hope to pass this delightful book on to them for their upcoming birthday.
