I have two sets of winners to announce, along with a few announcements and answers to some of your questions.
Remember that Tuesday (August 26) is the second edition of What’s on Your Nightstand. Tell us what you’re planning to read this month, what you just finished, and/or what you’re right in the middle of. If you’d like to include the whys and wherefores of how that book came to be on your nightstand, that’s even better. I’ll have the Mr. Linky posted at 8:00 a.m. EDT for you to link your own post to it.
The following Tuesday September 2 is our first virtual Classics Bookclub for Pride and Prejudice (you can find some prompts HERE). Due to popular demand, we will be reading Jane Eyre next. I’ll announce some other future titles as well as the schedule for the next few months for Children’s Classics soon.
It’s been almost a month since I asked for your input on the site. I wanted to answer a few of the questions that were left on the post. A few of you mentioned tagging books as to genre/age etc. I wanted to make sure you were aware of the tags that can be found at the bottom of the post as “Filed under.” There you will find genre, as well as an age range if it is for children. If you want to find more books that have been reviewed in that same category, simply click the link and more posts will come up. You can also search in this way by using the “Categories” drop-down box in the right sidebar. You can also pull up the reviews by reviewer, if you find your tastes to be similar to one of us. I hope that’s helpful.
Some of you left questions, and the team and I will be getting to those, too. I’ve adhered to the resounding answer of “no more than two posts a day,” so pulling some of these together just hasn’t happened yet.
Now for the winners:
The Barefoot Books winner is #53 Chrysa.
The two winners of the minusbag canvas tote from our Libraries are Green giveaway are #186 Catherine Copeland and #48 Ginny.
There are still a few open giveaways that will be announced next week: Bone and Kids in the Kitchen, as well as Breaking Dawn which just went up earlier today. You you can always find lists of current giveaways by clicking the giveaway tag or category. We should always have at least one that is open at any given time.
And again (I can’t say it enough): Thanks for your support of the site. We all appreciate it, and it makes the best “job” in the world — book reviewer — even sweeter to share it with you!
