This post is specifically for the 5 Minutes for Mom Ultimate Blog Party, but I often wonder how many of you stop by here now and again, or are relatively new, and might not know what we have to offer you here, other than delightful book reviews from our dedicated team of reviewers, of course. Take a few minutes to read a bit more about chances to win, ways to connect with other booklovers, and more. What’s a party without some conversation? Scroll down for our party question. We’d love for you to leave a comment.
Find books for you and your family
Read our reviews and comment to let us know what you think. We love to know when you’ve read a book, whether you agree or disagree. You can search for your favorites using the box at the top of the sidebar there on the right. Search for title, author, whatever.
If you want to browse for a sure-fire read, I always recommend looking at our 5 Star Reads page, listing the best of the best over the years. You can also search by category right under the general search box: check out Fiction Reviews, Children’s Books, Memoir, Gift ideas or more.
Get involved —
- What’s on Your Nightstand – Whether you read 1 book a month or 1 a week, we’d love to hear what you are reading. You can link up and join other readers on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
- Kids’ Picks — This is one of my favorite things we do, and I wish more would get involved. Even if busy moms don’t have time to read, most of you are encouraging your kids to read. This is our opportunity to share — on the 2nd Tuesday of each month — what books our kids would recommend, kid tested AND approved, whether the kid is 2 or 15.
- Write a guest post. We accept guest contributions in our On Reading column or Books on Screen. Just email me at 5minutesforbooks (at) gmail if you are interested in finding out more.
Enter to Win
Another way that people really like to get involved is to enter our giveaways. We always have at least 2 current giveaways here (in addition to our weekly column that appears Mondays at 5 Minutes for Mom). They are always available by clicking on the current giveaways tab on our NavBar.

Let’s Talk!
We’d like to hear from you. Who is the biggest reader in your family and what does he or she like to read?
Hi,I found your site on the UBP and I can’t wait to explore! My kids and I are all bookworms! Right now, we’ve got stacks of library books that we’re working through. My second grader and I are reading ‘Ella Enchanted’ together. My sixth grader is reading ‘The Killer Angels’. I’m reading the ‘Indian in the Cupboard’ series to my five-year-old. When I have time to open my own book, I’ve been reading ‘Midnight in Austenland’. I look forward to some great recomendations from your site!
Thanks for visiting! I hope you’ll come back. We have recommendations for all ages, and we LOVE booklovers!
Yay for the UBP! This is my first one and I am looking forward to meeting new bloggers! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
Yeah.. Everybody knows well that children books are simple but it is full of knowledge that you can share with the children. The moral of the story in the story books can be very useful learning for them. Usually, it is full of pictures or drawings that can attract them to read it more and more. This depends on the children characteristics that they love something colorful. It can stimulate their brain.
Thanks for the comment! I will try to include books too. I’m too much of a much reader anymore, but once in a while something will strike my fancy.
I just finished reading all the Hunger Games Books.
Books and movies are good combinations 🙂
Hi Jennifer! Just making my rounds!!

Great! Long time no “see” 🙂
Stopping by from UBP! I love reading and so does my daughter. I’m featuring 5 Days of Classic Books for Girls beginning May 14th on my blog. I’ll try to remember your link-up days so I can join in here!
found you thanks to UBP. I look forward to coming back – I try to be intentional in choosing books for my kids to read and at the moment am looking for inspiration for children #3 and #4.
Count me as one of the ones who didn’t know you were here! I’ll be back, you know this space is right up my alley 🙂 Hooray!
I found a like-minded soul. I love to read & I love books. Just ask my kids. I’m reading Touchdown Alexander about Christian football player Shawn Alexander. I found it in my son’s room and remembered he had read it twice. He never reads anything twice, so I thought I’d see what he likes about it. I read wide variety of books.
Stop by when you get a chance.

I love reading books too, especially the inspirational ones. Can’t wait to read more of your book reviews!
Known to break out into a cold sweat when passing Barnes & Noble without the opportunity to go in, I am a serious book lover! I’m the biggest reader in my home, though my 2 teens are close behind. Husband like to read, but takes FOREVER to finish anything!
I’ve been in a book club for 15 years. I’ll be back! Be sure to stop by and see me on the UBP journey!
Absolutely hands down my 9 year old son. He’s always got his nose in a book and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Aloha,
Thanks for this great resource. Visiting/ joining in from the UBP. I’d love it if you’d all come join the ride at localsugarhawaii.com.
