The 5 Minutes for Books team recently posted a list of books we recommend to buy for those on your Christmas list. Which got me thinking about the books I’d like to see under MY tree this year:
Preparing for Jesus: Meditations on the Coming of Christ, Advent, Christmas and the Kingdom by Walter Wangerin. I’ve never had an Advent book before, and I’ve read raves about this one.
Misplacing God: And Finding Him Again by Joanne Heim. My friend Joanne is a great writer, who challenges me and gives great insight.
Loving God With All Your Mind by Elizabeth George. I adore Elizabeth George…and I’m going to see her in person in March!
Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliott. I’ve never read any Elisabeth Elliott, though I’ve heard amazing things about her. This book is a compilation of some of her work.
So there’s my list! What about you? Leave us a comment and share what you’d like to see under your tree.
Melissa has been captivated by books for as long as she can remember. She resides in Virginia at at Breath of Life.
I would like to receive
Full of Grace by Johnette Benkovich
Cherished & Chosen and Graced & Gifted by Kimberly Hahn
any of Scott Hahn’s books; I don’t have any of them yet.
My wish list is too long! 🙂 One book that I got for review from Thomas Nelson that I love is called Reflections of God’s Holy Land by Eva Marie Everson and Miriam Feinberg Vamosh. It’s a beautiful coffee table book with devotions and a photo tour of Israel.
