I am still going to be writing my weekly book review column at 5 Minutes for Mom. However, it’s been a busy week getting this site ready to launch. Then I had a busy weekend–away from home all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday.
My team of reviewers here at 5 Minutes for Books has been busy filling our queue with reviews. So, today over at 5 Minutes for Mom, you will find Carrie reviewing Washington’s Lady by Nancy Moser. I thoroughly enjoyed another of Nancy Moser’s books, Just Jane, which I reviewed over there last fall, so I know that this book will be just as popular.
Each Monday, I will let you know what I’m reviewing over there (and as always, we will have a giveaway as well).
I also want to take the time to highlight some of the posts that I particularly enjoyed from the other sisters:
- Susan wrote an interesting post about her age being mistaken at “5 Minutes for Mom”: It’s Not that I’m Complaining. . . .
- At “5 Minutes for Special Needs” Kristie wrote an interesting post that might make “Special Needs” more relevant to more of us, What’s So Special about a Hyper Quirky Kid, and Michelle wrote a post that I also related to: The Day She was Different. I have to be honest–I am loving this new site more than I thought I would.
- Jess is helping us be Water Wise at “5 Minutes for Going Green” and Jennifer is calling herself Olive.
- Veronica Mitchell is clever as always in her Marriage and Cherry PItters post at “5 Minutes for Parenting,” and Kelly’s post Busy Brain put into words what we are all feeling about the launch of these sites–Giddy.
And of course here at 5 Minutes for Books, we offered up book reviews for babies, tweens, and both fiction and non-fiction for adults. You might like to try browsing by category on the sidebar to focus on exactly the genres that you prefer.
I have loved reading all of your comments. Please keep them coming! We love to know which books resonate with you, so we can bring you more of the same, and it’s just nice to know that someone appreciated the reviewer’s effort.
