Time for some ridiculously cute new titles from Tiger Tales books.
My children are completely enthralled with these new titles. I opened the box which they arrived in and my two year old snatched these titles right out. We all (ages 2, 4, 6 and I’m-not-telling) sat down and loved them instantly, beginning with Peek-a-Boo!. Both this title and the next are unique because they have a set of magnetic arms which wrap around the book either keeping it closed or allowing you to open the pages and read the short little story. In this particular title, you pull back the bunny’s hands in order to open the book. Once inside you see portions of a variety of animals which are hiding from you. What is that peeking out from behind the tree? Peek-a-boo! It’s a sticky honey bear! What is that behind the paint cans? A clumsy kitten! And so on and so forth. Most times we guessed correctly which animal was hiding from us but one page spread was a delightful surprise Peek-a-Boo for my children and myself! This is a very cute little book.
In the same vein as the title you see above, Tiger Tales has also published Hug! To open this book, you have to unwrap baby bear from its mommy’s hug and then get ready for some squashy, squeezy, twisty, tangly hugs! As the book says “sharing hugs is lots of fun” but it’s made even more so with these cuddly animals. My two year old had an absolute blast playing with and reading both of these titles. They are unique enough to have captured her mother’s attention as well, I do confess. (And the attention of her old brothers as well. These books are just plain hard to resist, that’s what!)
Both books are written and illustrated by Ben Mantle. Both are board books and are appropriately designed for ages 2 through 5 in mind. If you want something fun to cuddle up with and read to your favorite little ones, you’d be hard pressed to find a cuter book than one of these. I think they are adorable and we, as a family, highly recommend them to you!
Many thanks to Tiger Tales for sending copies of the above books my direction in exchange for my honest thoughts.
Carrie loves reading books with her three children and loves finding and discussing both old and new titles over at Reading to Know.com.
