Book Buddy

November 28, 2009 by Jennifer

BookbuddyLast month I saw a review for a Lap Blanket from a company called Reading Comfort on S. Krishna’s Books blog. In that review, she linked to her review of the Book Buddy.

I thought that kind of product would be perfect for inclusion here in the Gift Guide, so I contacted them and asked for a donation, and I’m happy to announce that they agreed.

While I did not receive a sample to review myself, I was sold by S. Krishna’s review.

I can think of so many people who might enjoy a gift such as this: Your book-loving girlfriends or mom or aunt, not to mention your daughter.

This video shows exactly how it works and how it might be especially useful for hands-free reading (especially for those with arthritis or other issues that affect their motor skills). This immediately makes me think “Grandparent gift!”

You can also add an acrylic top, which turns it into a nice work surface for your laptop, which brings to mind “College Student” (or book review site editor, ahem).

They offer many patterns, from bright and whimsical, to classically elegant — sure to fit any decor.

Reading Comfort offers other nifty accessories such as elastic bookmarks and bookweights.

Use the discount code “blogger” at checkout to save 15% on all orders at
Reading Comfort through 2009.
