Jennifer’s attempt at Video Reviews, take two (I’m getting better!). This one features me actually looking at the camera and talking, not reading (except when I’m reading the excerpt of the book). It’s completely different content from my written review of The Wilder Life (These are really just random thoughts, supporting my review). Hop over and enter the giveaway if you haven’t already.

Jennifer Donovan can tell she’s grown up. The sound of her voice on tape still surprises her, but doesn’t shock her as much as when she used her cassette recorder to interview friends, family, and stuffed animals. She blogs at Snapshot.
I loved them too and my daughter did not and that made me “sad, sad, sad” too! What is it with this younger generation? Fortunately she has, finally and lately, gotten into the “Anne of Green Gables” series, and even more, the “Emily of New Moon” series (which I always liked better than Anne anyway).
I’ll have to get Amanda to try Emily of New Moon. Believe it or not, I had never read Anne of Green Gables either, but I did when Carrie started having her LM Montgomery challenges a couple of years ago.
Amanda read as well, and did like her spunk, but found it “boring” the same fate that she gave LHOP.
I’m going to read them to Kyle, and then I’ll keep reading. The first 3 are pretty boyish with all the building and hunting and whatnot. I haven’t read the later books in ages, and I’d like to.
I’m so enjoying actually HEARING you talk about this book. I can’t relate personally to this series having been the child who wasn’t attracted them, but I do love the “chatting” feel to this second video. Great new path to take the site on!
Thanks, Dawn. I have some chatting to do about a book I just finished as well. Ideally I will record it and post it the same time as I post the review, then people can choose to watch one or read one or skip them both–ha!
You’re welcome to jump in any time. I’d love to see your passion come through in a video!!
I loved this book too! Not only did I love the Little House series as a child (my set looks just as worn out as yours!) but I love the way Wendy writes and I just fell in love with her funny and supportively wonderful boyfriend. What a great read!
