Lest you think that I am totally hardened after I admitted that the book Things I Want my Daughters to Know didn’t make me cry, in spite of the heart-wrenching topic, I will go on the record in admitting that the touching stories in the Chicken Soup books do cause me to tear up every time. For our final giveaway in the Mother’s Day giveaway, we have two books from the Chicken Soup for the Soul; Our 101 Best Stories series. These stories are outstanding in their variety, insuring that there’s something for everyone. They are written from the perspective of all types of moms: adoptive moms, single moms, moms of many, seasoned moms, grandmoms, and first-time moms.
The winner of this giveaway will receive copies of both Chicken Soup for the Soul: Like Mother, Like Daughter:Stories about the Special Bond between Mothers and Daughters and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Moms & Sons: Stories by Mothers and Sons, in Appreciation of Each Other.
As the mother of both a son and a daughter, each of these volumes held little nuggets of wisdom or nostalgia for me.
Managing Editor Jennifer Donovan also blogs at Snapshot about life with her tween daughter and preschool son.
