Elle Garvey couldn’t be more satisfied with her life. She has finally met the man of her dreams, and they are planning to marry. When Elle’s love, Jeremiah, accepts a position with a church in Texas, Elle sells her South Carolina art gallery, rents out her home, and prepares to follow the man she loves.
Then her dreams are crushed.
The wedding is cancelled, and Elle is left wondering what she will do next. She has no art gallery to run, and she is forced to move into the apartment above her garage. Although she feels she has lost everything that matters, Elle is set to begin a new journey in which she will learn about true love and living life to the fullest.
While predictable at times, Love Starts with Elle is an enjoyable read. Because most of us have learned at one time or another that our plans and God’s plans aren’t always the same, Elle’s journey is one that is very relatable. The characters in this story can also be found in Sweet Caroline, an earlier novel by Rachel Hauck, but Love Starts with Elle is a novel that stands alone well.
If you enjoy curling up with a good love story, I recommend Love Starts with Elle. You can visit Rachel Hauck’s site to learn more and to enter to win a copy of the book.
