Because my food thoughts have been mostly turned to Thanksgiving this month, and my goal has been to empty my freezer and fridge to prepare, NOT to fill it, I haven’t tried out any recipes in this book.
However, I’m a big fan of anything that makes my dinner prep easier, and I often make giant batches of soups, stews, or bean dishes, with the plan to freeze half of it to use for another meal (or two). I’ve made double-batches of casseroles, and I’ve read cookbooks that advocate major cooking plans, but I’ve never quite been able to commit.
Read my full review of Not Your Mother’s Make-Ahead and Freeze Cookbook at 5 Minutes for Mom to see why I’m so excited about this one. I have my first session planned as soon as I get rid of the Thanksgiving leftovers.
