I am an American who converted to Islam when I was 16 and I am now 40. I truly love it when there are books about my religion that help others understand Islam in a way that makes them see as well as feel that at times decisions we make are based on an ideal situation that may, or may not, be the case. In this type of book, it seems that a brother is fighting a sister’s decisions every time she turns around and makes one, I am not sure as I have not read this book. From the review, I get the feeling this is the case. In most Islamic countries, as well as marriages here in the US based on the christian Ideal that aa man runs the family, a woman RARELY makes life-changing decisions based on her input only. A woman IS like the women here in US, she talks to her husband and they make the decision together but the FINAL decision is left to the man to implement. I hope that everyone who reads this book comes away with the same feeling that the reviewer di… That they feel that they know a little bit more about Islam, and that they want to reead other books that are part of the series. Now, I cannot wait to get the series myself! Thank you for taking the time to read the book as well as post such an informative review!!!
