I absolutely love to read books about a different culture — whether it’s a family who could live down my block but come from an exotic location or tradition, or it’s set in a land far far away. You can’t get much farther away than Asia.
In honor of Asian Heritage Month, Hachette has another fabulous giveaway package for us. This package features a memoir, a novel, a short story collection and two books with a historical/sociological bent.
Three of you (U.S. and Canadian residents only) will receive all five books.
Click any of the links to read an excerpt of the book:
- Free Food for Millionaires By Min Jin Lee
- Trail of Crumbs (read my review from it’s hardcover release) By Kim Sunée
- The Fortune Cookie Chronicles By Jennifer Lee
- Transparency By Frances Hwang
- Strangers from a Different Shore By Ronald Takaki
Leave a comment if you’d like to win. We’ll post the winners on May 31 (along with the Latino Book Giveaway, which is still open).
