Can you believe it’s been ten years since J.K. Rowling first introduced us to Harry Potter and the whole crew at Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone? I’m amazed at the people who have read these books — from age six to sixty (and beyond). In fact, a few years ago for Christmas, we gave my fantasy-reading father-in-law the boxed set of books. He loved them.
In honor of the tenth anniversary, Scholastic Books is inviting you to share Harry. You can enter to win two copies of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone — one to keep, and one to give away.
Check out the fun content on Scholastic’s Harry Potter page, including voting for your favorite 7 word reviews of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Leave a comment now to share the magic of Harry Potter! A whole new generation of children await the magic of Hogwarts, and Quidditch, of Sorting Hats and Spells. Introduce the “little one” in your life to the first book in this remarkable series – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – and get them started on the reading adventure of a lifetime.
5 winners (U.S. shipping addresses only) will receive TWO copies of this book. You can win one, and share one with someone else who you think would enjoy meeting Harry Potter and his friends. The contest will close on April 21, and we’ll announce the winners on April 22.
Managing Editor Jennifer Donovan also blogs at Snapshot about life with her tween daughter and preschool son.
