The Traveler’s Atlas of the World

December 7, 2025 by Elizabeth

As a book reviewer, I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher or author to facilitate this review. I received no other compensation, and all opinions are always 100% my own.

What better way to start the New Year than to dream of travel, and maybe even plan a trip or two somewhere new to you. National Geographic comes to the rescue with a gorgeous new book that opens up the world!

This is not your grandma’s atlas. As one would expect from National Geographic, each country features at least one gorgeous photo. But there are also pages of maps, graphics, lists of things to do and experience in various places, and more. From “Four Unforgettable Day Trips from Seoul” to a list of 10 Ethiopian culinary experiences; from instructions on how to get the most out of your trip to Iceland (Personal note: visit the adorable grandchild–that’s all you need to do!) to lists of local treasures, recommended restaurants, and best-kept secrets from countries around the globe, this atlas is a treasure. Containing more than 300 photographs, plus information that spans the seven continents and includes every country on earth, this hefty tome would make an excellent Christmas gift.

Whether you’re putting together your bucket list or you just like to dream, The Traveler’s Atlas of the World is a treasure trove of imagination-stoking riches.
