The Belly Button Fairy

The Belly Button Fairy is a cute story by Bobby Hinman about how we get our belly buttons. Children will enjoy reading about the Belly Button Fairy, a grandmotherly figure, who flies about visiting hospitals making sure that each child is given a belly button. The illustrations in this book are charming, and it comes with an audio CD that includes the story and music so kids can listen to the book on their own.

Bobby Hinman has also written The Sock Fairy and The Knot Fairy. These stories tell about how socks are lost and mismatched (I am glad to know these problems are caused by a fairy and not my own incompetence) and how knots and tangles are put into children’s hair while they are sleeping. Children are sure to laugh about the magical reasons behind these everyday occurrences.
