I can not imagine any event in the life of a woman that is more life-altering than becoming a mother. I know that my life and heart will never be the same now that I have two precious children of my own. For some, the road to motherhood is a smooth one with few problems (although I am pretty sure everyone hits a few bumps after becoming a mom). Others struggle and face many difficulties while pursuing the dream becoming a mother.
I did not struggle with infertility, but I have dear friends who did. I am sure that most women have experienced fertility problems or know a friend or family member who has. We all understand that these problems can cause women to question their worth, their future, and even God.
In Finding Grace, Donna VanLiere, author of the Christmas Hope Series, shares her own life struggles, including the problem of infertility. During many times in Donna’s life, she felt that her life was not going according to her plan—something most of us can relate to, I’m sure. Her dreams were out of reach, and she wondered if God had left her when she needed him most.
Whether you have faced infertility issues or not, you will relate to Donna’s struggles. As most of us know, we often find our greatest joys after our greatest challenges and pain. Reading Finding Grace will encourage you if you are currently dealing with suffering, and it will remind you, whether you are currently dealing with challenges or not, of God’s faithfulness and grace.
I know that we can’t always see the big picture, but Finding Grace will remind you that God does! Donna VanLiere’s story is a powerful example of that.
