What have you been reading? I’d love to know.
I’ve had quite a few review deadlines, and I’ve been trying to balance them with some personal reads that I’ve been wanting to get to. So I’ve read some non-fiction, middle grade fiction, and a couple of genres of adult fiction. I really enjoy mixing it up like that. What about you? Do you stick to tried and true or vary your reading choices?

Ok, I’m in but not ready with a posting yet. Will get on with it 😀

I can completely relate to the tension of review deadlines. I got myself into a bind earlier this year by saying yes to too many books. Thankfully, it appears that things are under control, and I’m really enjoying a book discussion group I’m hosting. We’re reading Jayber Crow, and it just feels so good to be reading some fiction.

I usually am working through a classic, a biography/memoir, a Christian non-fiction, and a Christian fiction at the same time, but they’re all in different places (classic on audio, bio on Kindle, Christian non-fiction with my Bible, etc.) If I tried reading several of the same genre at the same time, I’d get them mixed up.

I know what you mean about the review deadlines and personal reads which do get put off quite a lot for me, I tend to mix it up rather than stick to the same genre as I get bored very quickly reading the same old, same old. I’m always willing to try that ‘odd ball’ book now and again. It also helps keep the reviews varied and stretched as I worry my reviews will sound too samey if I don’t.
Thanks for the opportunity to post on What’s Next on Your Nightstand, I very keen to post each month and read what every one else is reading, and probably add far too many more books to my TBR list.

I was so busy this month, that honestly, I only finished one book! Well, reading Captain Underpants and Magic Tree House books don’t really count, right? LOL! Highly recommend Station Eleven- that was my one read, and thank goodness it was a good one!
