Sad Desk Salad {Review and Giveaway}

You know those websites that churn out a dozen or more posts a day, all about celebrity’s baby bumps and the latest DUI arrest among Hollywood’s young starlets? Well, how about a fictional behind-the-scenes look at how it all comes together? That’s what Jessica Grose delivers in her novel Sad Desk Salad, and it’s definitely not as glamorous as one might think.

Web traffic and comments drive the site, and as one of four writers for the site Chick Habit, Alex Lyons feels the pressure to produce the posts that will keep her numbers up. When a huge expose is dropped in her lap, or more specifically, her inbox, she has no idea what is in store for her when it becomes the biggest story in the site’s history. Of course, the ramifications of that post might not be what she expected. Will she be able to handle the effects?
